What is Hope Center?

Hope Center was founded through a powerful collaboration between three established ministries: Hands of Hope Pregnancy Resource Center, Sumter Faith Clinic, and Americus Biblical Counseling. While each organization once operated independently, we recognized the greater impact we could have by coming together. Soon, we will serve as a unified resource center—offering hope, healing, and support to individuals and families in our community. The mission of Hope Center is unapologetically gospel-centered, compassionate, service-oriented, and collaborative.

Hope Center will offer medical services, pregnancy resources and counseling services to the community with hopes to educate, encourage and empower families.

This project that has truly stretched and strengthened our faith. We believe that by bringing these services together under one roof, we’ll create a place where hope and help are more accessible than ever. The combined resources, shared mission, and unified heart for service will allow us to reach and support even more individuals and families in need.

What will look different after the merge?

Our new location will be 413 W. Forsyth St., Americus, GA 31709.
Through this merge, we will be sharing resources — including our staff, budget, board of directors, and volunteers. This collaboration allows us to serve a larger population and make the most of our resources, equipping us to meet the growing need for services in our community.
We are not only expanding our services, but also extending our reach! Hands of Hope has faithfully served families across seven counties. In rural communities, access to care and resources can often be limited. Until now, Sumter Faith Clinic and Americus Biblical Counseling have focused their work primarily in Sumter County. This merge opens the door for them to grow — now serving all seven counties currently reached by Hands of Hope: Sumter, Schley, Macon, Marion, Taylor, Webster, and Stewart.
Together, we are stronger and better equipped to bring hope and care to more families than ever before!
What will look different after the merge?

Who is leading Hope Center?

Hope Center will be led by a unified leadership team, dedicated staff, and volunteers representing Hands of Hope, Sumter Faith Clinic, and Americus Biblical Counseling. Together, this team will oversee daily operations, strategic planning, and community partnerships — ensuring our mission continues to grow and thrive.

Amanda Anderson will serve as the Executive Director, continuing to lead with the same heart and vision that have guided Hands of Hope over the past seven years. During her time with the organization, Amanda has faithfully served in nearly every role and is excited to bring that same passion and energy into this new season alongside our partner ministries.

Anna Stinchcum, who has faithfully led Sumter Faith Clinic for the past 13 years, has been a vital leader in this project. She will continue to serve on our medical team at Hope Center and will also serve as a member of the Board of Directors.
Each partner organization will continue to bring their unique strengths — medical care, counseling, and family support— under one shared mission: to bring hope and holistic care to our community.

In addition to our leadership and staff, we are guided by a Board of Directors made up of respected community members from local businesses, churches, and various professions. Their leadership, insight, and ongoing support help shape the vision and direction of the Hope Center as we serve families across our region.

Where are you at in this process right now?

The renovation is almost complete! We actually started moving furniture in on Nov 3rd and on Nov 4th started putting some of our new furniture together!

Right now, all three ministries are still operating in their individual spaces while we put the finishing touches on the new building. Our goal is to open to the public in mid January, and we can’t wait to welcome our community into the Hope Center.
We’re also planning a Donor Open House in January, where you’ll have the opportunity to tour the new facility and see firsthand what your prayers and support have helped make possible.

We are so excited to show you what we’ve been working on — this is truly a dream becoming reality!

How can I get involved?

Prayer is ALWAYS our first need.
There are many moving parts to this project, and we know none of it is possible without prayer. Please continue to pray for our team, our partners, and the families we serve as we move forward together.

Volunteer With Us
If you’re interested in volunteering with the Hope Center, we will have a wide variety of opportunities for you to get involved! From client care and administrative support to event planning and maintenance, there’s a place for everyone to serve.

We’ll be hosting a Volunteer Training in January — open to all volunteers, both new and returning. This will be a great time to learn more about our mission, connect with our team, and find your place in this exciting new chapter.
